Greg Gescha, a Calgary based singer/songwriter has toured throughout western Canada playing concert stages, festivals, pubs and clubs. His energetic vocals puts him among the best frontmen to come out of Calgary. He has 3 indie CD's to his credit and he and his bandmates have established themselves as a legitimate force on the Calgary music scene. Currently you can find Greg performing live with his band and playing acoustic solo's around Calgary.
Greg was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and transplanted to the Caribbean when he was a year old. During his early school days in Trinidad he sang morning hymns and performed in annual plays. At home he was influenced by both the music his parents listened to and the records his older brothers would buy. From Calypso to Reggae, Hard Rock to Adult Contemporary, Classical to Pop, it didn't matter, he'd soak it all up. By the age of nine he had his hands on his first acoustic guitar.
Greg has dedicated himself full-time to songwriting and performing. Now focusing on his solo project he plans to hone his skills and aspire to a level that is immediately recognizable and unique. Light tones and bouncy melodies abound throughout his infectious acoustic-pop sound. Truly an undiscovered talent with an independent style that has not yet been heard.
Establishing a trio with bandmates, Roland Griffith (formerly of Ground and part-time member of Ours To Destroy) and Mark Freeland (formerly of Zuckerbaby and My Mother Grooves) the Calgary scene is the next goal for this group, The Greg Gescha Trio.
